You asked for safer Streets. Let's try them out!
June 22-30 on Bridge Street
Bike and pedestrian advocacy organization Local Motion will help Richmond install temporary pedestrian safety measures on Bridge Street. The pop-up project will be installed for 7-10 days in late June, providing Richmond the opportunity to experience the effectiveness of these types of pedestrian safety infrastructure improvements without the cost of a permeant investment. The measures will include temporary crosswalks and sidewalk ‘bulb-outs’, which were identified within the 2010 Richmond Bridge Street Bicycle & Pedestrian Feasibility Study.
